The Veteran by Delores McDaniel

This Poem was written in 1962 by one of Bristol’s own residents, Delores Mc Daniel who herself had served in the US Army Woman’s Army Corps From 1951-1953 as a Dental Assistant. When she wrote this, it was a way to express how strongly she felt about the soldiers serving our Country. To this day, she still feels just as strongly about the soldiers who have and are currently serving today as she did the day she wrote it. It is people like this that make this Country Strong and a Wonderful place to live.
At one time a copy of this was given to Bob Steele who had read it to all his Listeners.
